"A musician and a virtuoso.
As if the piano were an extension of his own body."

Barletta Weekly

David Wolff made his orchestral debut as solo pianist at the age of twelve and has since gone on to concertize throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Critics have praised his artistry and predict a brilliant future for him. Wolff entered the University of Washington at the age of fifteen on full scholarship where he majored in Piano Performance and Romance Languages. He obtained his Master's Degree in NYC under the direction of Byron Janis and then moved to Rome, where he studied conducting with Bruno Aprea. He has performed more than 300 recitals as soloist and as accompanist.

Wolff has won numerous prizes in international competitions, including the grand prize in the Naomi Management International Competition in New York City where he was presented in a recital at Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall. In 2004, he won five consecutive first prizes in international competitions in Europe and as a result was engaged for numerous solo recitals in Europe.

Wolff has collaborated with such varied and celebrated artists as Soprano Constance Hauman, Choreographer Ruth Davidson Hahn, Visual Artist Terry Rosenberg and Dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov. His upcoming 2007/08 season will be highlighted by a series of concerts throughout the US with the world-renowned Soprano Angela Brown. As a symphonic and operatic conductor, Wolff has performed extensively throughout Italy and the US and is presently Principal Conductor of the recently formed Manhattan Chamber Philharmonic.

In Autumn 2007, Wolff will embark on a 7-recital cycle of the complete solo piano works of Sergei Rachmaninoff in various venues in New York City, concluding in Weill Hall at Carnegie in May 2009.
